Availability & inconvenients
Communicate on time if you cannot attend any meeting or you had any inconvenient which prevented you from progressing on your tasks. Leave the project or freeze your participation if you deem it necessary, and inform the PM about this.
Communicating your practical experience externally
Avoid free riding, and whenever you are putting your project experience and contributions on a cv or Linkedin, be honest. We happened in the past to have some very bad experiences with certain volunteers who put on their cv "project manager" but did not do anything (not even showing up at one meeting), and were just trying to leverage this experience with employers to get a job. Needless to say that this backfired them, and employers noticed immediately such cases of misconduct could not do anything of what faked on cv. The integrity of our non-profit brand needs to be safeguarded because many important employers put their trust on us and our people, and we are ready to collaborate with them as well as the competent authorities if any similar misconduct is reported again.
Respect for our values and those of the partners involved
Our founders and active members worked hard to get us where we are now, and any breach of these very simple but essential rules and values mentioned in our statute could lead to serious consequences.
